About GMI Sound Corp
GMI Sound Corp. USA is a division of GMI Holdings Group LLC. GMI Sound Corp. is an international manufacturing company. In 1973, David Weiss joined his father, Mor Weiss, and eventually became CEO of GMI Sound Corp. USA.
Due to the rapid growth of the DJ/home speaker business, David decided to purchase a large industrial complex (180,000 square feet) in Jersey City, NJ, to accommodate the international market. In 1988, a new building was erected near the Williamsburg Bridge (27,000 square feet) in Brooklyn, NY, to accommodate the East Coast market.
Comprised of a team of designers and engineers, GMI has developed more than 200 different models of professional speaker systems. David likes to have a variety of ranges for the largest selection.
"I like to design models the way people like to see and hear them," he says. "We increased the number of styles and expanded the audience ranges. GMI caters to all kinds of clientele, especially for the high-end market. Our speaker systems are priced to sell so that the average consumer is getting his money's worth. We can't meet everybody's specifications, but we have tried to reach out to the largest possible customer base worldwide and we have achieved it." |
